This book, like every other of Roald Dahl's writings, is a work of art. Dahl writes in a way that reaches into the very soul of whoever opens the pages and awakens the imagination to unlimited possibilities. He gives his work such an imaginative, joyful effect that I have only seen his wonderful writing. Roald spent his last days discovering and bonding with nature. This is a book about the last year in his amazing life.
Perhaps I just didn't read the description close enough, but I didn't realize this was a library edition, with all the stickers, etc that it entails.
Beautiful book. I love when imagination and nature collide.

A year observed, one month at a time. After a few months you can't help but feel like you are sitting across the table, or nearby in the same room just listening and looking toward things as they are point out.
Beautifully illustrated with watercolors that fit right alongside the text. A joy to read but if you are a Dahl fan it is pure wonder.
